CLASS DETAILS

where: We meet by the James Garfield monument to the right and in front of the Conservatory, and then walk a short distance to a hidden meadow.

what: weekly classes are a mixed levels hatha/vinyasa class. Beginners and seasoned practitioners welcomed. Fun and playful class that'll make you sweat and then slow it down to unwind at the end. Class focuses on aligning breath with movement, standing and seated postures, beginning inversions, and a few restorative poses to unwind from the week.(Please bring your own mat or a towel, or simply practice on the earth to get grounded ♥ ).

Last Saturdays monthly are Yin Yoga & Healing Sound Bath, suitable for anyone. Yin Yoga is a deeply nourishing and yielding practice. It helps us to yield, or surrender, gently into sensation helping to create more space both in the body and the mind. It is the softer compliment to vinyasa and help to bring us to a place of calm and openness. Through longer holds of ground level postures that we enter with deep awareness and breath, we work to create space around the muscles through the tissues, ligaments, and clearing out of the energy channels. It is like a massage from the inside out for your body, mind, and heart.

During an extended savasana, you’ll be guided into deep relaxation with a healing sound bath of various instruments, a restoring and refreshing experience.

~What to bring~
Please bring your own mat or a towel to practice on, as well as dressing in layers in case it is cold/windy. I suggest a blanket and eye pillow (if you have) for the sound bath portion of the class. We will meet at 2pm (try to arrive 5 minutes early please) by the James Garfield Monument to the right and in-front of the Conservatory and then walk over to our beautiful outdoor practice area.
